That headline in my local newspaper, followed by "Stunned House Republicans vowed campaign changes..." sadly and clearly illustrates why and how the greatest threat we face as a nation today is not an oil shortage, not a turrist attack, not a chicken flu pandemic, but the utter vacuum in leadership at the highest levels.

An inconvienent truth is that Communist China brutally invaded Tibet in 1949. The physical destruction, the rapes and other unspeakable perversions committed against a peaceful, religious people, are certainly war crimes.
The west did nothing.
Now the Dali Lama visits the west, and of all the public figures you can name, only House Speaker Nancy Polosi has had the cajones to speak out against the Red Chinese invasion and occupation of Tibet.
